To complete this online programme , take the invigilated examination and achieve your nationally recognised qualification you will need to follow these simple steps.

Step 1:  Down load this logsheet and use it to keep a record of your study, recording when you complete each module segment and how long you took.

Step 2:  Study the various segments below, completing the various exercises and watch the training video.

Step 3:  Take and pass a practice test.  This will help you prepare for the formal invigilated exam.

Step 4: Get in touch with the onshore training team (see below) to book your formal exam.   Don’t worry, the  formal exam is not that scary, it is done online using zoom.

Study Logsheet

Self-Assessment Questions (SAQs)  are not used in this module.  There are exercises and questions to answer throughout the module.  Learners should record their responses to these on paper and be prepraed to show them to their exam invigilator if asked to.

Requirements to access study materials and exam

  • You will need an internet connection to access the materials and the remote exam.
  • You will need a device with a webcam and microphone for the remote exam.

Exam fee

The exam is free for UK-based seafood workers and is funded by Seafish. For non-seafood workers, the cost of the exam is £25.

How to book an exam

On completion of the study materials, the next step is to book an exam. Individuals should only book an exam when ready to do so. To book an exam, please email our onshore training team using the contact page below.

Qualification awarded by REHIS

On successful completion of passing the 30-question multiple choice supervised exam, students are awarded a qualification by REHIS. The Elementary Health and Safety qualification is equivalent to a Level 2 Health and Safety certificate and is recognised internationally.
