The main fisheries for our native common Cockle include the Thames Estuary, Morecombe Bay and Burry Inlet. 

These shellfish are very similar to Clam and can be cooked in the same ways.  

Often associated with trips to the seaside, where Cockle is sold in small pots by local vendors.
